HTTP response codes

HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed

The address exists but does not support the used method, for example POST instead of GET. This is a website or server error from the 4xx group. If a customer website shows an HTTP error or behaves incorrectly, contact Hostilla.pl support and provide the URL, test time and message text.

What does this code mean?

HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed is the web server response to a browser, bot, API or test tool request. On hosting, read it together with the URL, request method, application logs, DNS, SSL, cache and recent website changes.

What should be checked on hosting?

First check whether the problem affects one URL, the whole domain, mail, SSL, redirects, cache or resource limits. For 4xx codes we usually inspect the address, permissions, login, .htaccess, ModSecurity and application configuration. For 5xx codes we inspect error logs, PHP, databases, LVE, cache, CMS updates and dependent services.

How to report it to support?

Send the HTTP 405 code, full URL, approximate time, your IP address, recent changes and a screenshot or message text. Hostilla.pl support can then check server logs, DNS, SSL, e-mail, backups, moving, account limits and cPanel configuration faster. Affordable good hosting also means working PHP-FPM, OPcache, Redis or Memcached, clear price in PLN and renewal for the next year.
